Motherhood Changed Me… And Not Everyone Understands That
Motherhood changed me.
Not just my body…
not just my routine…
but something deeper.
Something I can’t even fully explain.
I don’t react the same anymore.
I don’t think the same anymore.
The things that used to matter…
don’t feel important now.
And the things that never used to bother me—
sometimes feel overwhelming.
It’s like I became a whole new person overnight…
but somehow, I was still expected to stay the same.
To show up the same.
To love the same.
To handle everything the same.
But I can’t.
Because motherhood doesn’t just add to you—
it changes you.
There are parts of me I’ve lost.
Parts I’m still trying to find again.
And parts…
I don’t even recognize anymore.
Some days I feel stronger than I’ve ever been.
Like I could carry the whole world for my child.
Other days…
I barely feel like myself.
And the hardest part?
Trying to explain that to people who don’t understand.
Because from the outside,
it just looks like I’m “different.”
But on the inside…
I’m just trying to figure out who I am now.
Motherhood didn’t break me.
But it definitely rebuilt me
into someone I’m still learning to understand.
And maybe that’s okay. 💛
